Characteristics
Clear to amber yellow colour with a watery consistency. A fresh scent with a lovely lavender note.
Extraction and Farming Method
The essential oil is extracted via steam distillation of the leaves and green branchlets. While Rosalina is grown in plantations, some wild harvesting of the plant still occurs.
History
Traditional Usage
At present we don’t have any records of traditional use. However it is quite reasonable to expect Rosalina was used by our First peoples, they would have rubbed the leaves on their skin and also inhaled the leaves of this plant.
Early European Usage
There tree was occasionally wild harvested for its medicinal essential oil. It was identified and reported by renown Australian chemist and Australian essential oil pioneer Baker and Smith in 1922. The trees also flower prolifically and so bee hives are located near the trees for honey production.
Present Day Usage
Rosalina essential oil (Lavender Tea Tree) is used by aroma therapists as an alternative for those who don’t like Lavender.

This is such an all rounder. I use it when cleaning and for calming and combine it with Kunzea and Fragonia in a carrier for general muscle pain, arthritis and even pain associated with virus’s. A lovely and gentle essential oil.

Absolutely gorgeous. I did a skin patch test, all good and applied neat to my sore throat. So good, it’s addictive. Feels amazing and the smell is divine.

I very much like this scent but it is very clean, so clean in fact that it will clean up other scents that are too earthy or funky. It’s a brilliant alternative to regular tea tree that is very astringent. The lavender element rounds it out very well. I give this as gifts because everyone knows the usefulness of tea tree but this is a much nicer scent.

Thank you Gypsy Tucker, yes Rosalina is such a unique, calming and clean scent! Many people prefer Rosalina one over Tea Tree because of its lavender element, and it’s less of a strong ‘medicinal’ scent than Tea Tree. Thanks for sharing your experience!
