History – Zest Myrtle Essential Oil

Traditional Usage

Sadly at present there is no evidence of indigenous use of this plant. This may be because the tree is rare in the wild and the local population of indigenous were largely removed from the direct area of the populations of this tree a very long time ago for the purposes of introduced agriculture. Possibly also being a coastal forest tree, these areas were cleared of forest for settlement.

Early European Usage

There is no record of Zest Myrtle oil being produced and sold previously.

Present Day Usage

Zest Myrtle oil was exclusively launched by Essentially Australia in 2016
