Greg Trevena has been learning about Australian plants for over 30 years. His interest developed when seeing Australia’s ABC Television series, Bush Tucker Man, where he learnt about Australia’ native food and native medicine plants. As the 1990’s was to be the ‘Decade of Landcare’, he thought why not plant native trees that give you a crop, he has continued his research of Australian essential oils wherever possible. Greg commenced a Lemon Myrtle essential oil retail business in 1999 and successfully sold it in 2009. In 2012 he started the Essentially Australia business. The Essentially Australia plantations were established in 2014 in the Byron Bay hinterland. Greg continues to search for new Australian essential oils with valuable and helpful uses.
